WA man faces more sexual assault charges

A 53-year-old West Australian man previously accused of sexually assaulting a seven-year-old girl has had several other charges laid against him.

The man was charged in January over the alleged assault of the girl while she was playing in a neighbour's yard, and on Tuesday police said more charges had been laid.

They allege four other victims were sexually and/or indecently assaulted by the man in the 1990s when they were aged between seven and 13, and it is further alleged he indecently assaulted two women aged in their 60s in January.

He is due to appear in the Esperance Magistrates Court later on Tuesday.
