WA man dead after gas bottle explosion

A man has died in hospital after a gas bottle exploded at a Perth home, causing injuries to his face and body.
Three people hosed down the man, whose clothes were on fire, following the explosion at a Mary Street home in Highgate about 4pm on Monday.
Emergency crews were called and the man, believed to be aged in his 30s, was rushed to Fiona Stanley Hospital in a critical condition but later died from his injuries.

An LPG gas bottle found in the area venting gas was cooled down and a small fire extinguished.
Police say the man's death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
