WA man critical after being found injured

A 48-year-old man is in a critical but stable condition in hospital after being found with possible stab wounds in Perth's north east.

The Eden Hill man was found on Toodyay Road near Holding Street in Middle Swan about 1am on Sunday and was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital.

He suffered several injuries, some of which appeared to be consistent with stab wounds, a police spokeswoman said.

Police are investigating what happened to the man and urge anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers.
