WA light plane makes emergency landing

Two people have escaped uninjured after their light plane was forced to make an emergency landing on a road in a remote part of Western Australia's far north.

The six-seater Cessna 210 reported engine failure on Friday afternoon.

Police said the plane made the emergency landing on a road about 90km south of Halls Creek.

The pilot and sole passenger are uninjured.
