WA Liberals still push for GST per capita
AAP
The Western Australian Liberals have reaffirmed their push for distributing most GST revenue to the states and territories on a per capita basis in a submission made to the Productivity Commission inquiry.
Opposition leader and former state treasurer Mike Nahan said on Wednesday there were flaws in the existing system and most states agreed with the per capita idea.
WA currently receives 34 cents in every dollar, while most other states get in the range of 89 cents to 181 cents in the dollar.
