WA cop seeks end to charges over Cousins
AAP
A Perth policeman who allegedly tipped off his journalist girlfriend about the arrest of ex-AFL player Ben Cousins will apply for a permanent stay on proceedings.
Daniel James Erik Jamieson previously pleaded not guilty in Perth Magistrates Court to four counts of disclosing unauthorised information between March 12 and 18.
The constable is accused of looking up information about Mr Cousins on a police computer and passing it on to his girlfriend, Seven Network reporter Monique Dirksz.

She then showed up at Fremantle Police Station in the early hours of March 12 after Mr Cousins was arrested over a low-speed chase.
Jamieson is due back in court on September 8.
