Two women attacked, boy chased at WA home

A man has been charged after allegedly punching and kicking a woman in her front yard, hitting another with a rock and threatening a 12-year-old boy in Perth's Hills.

Police say the man entered a property on Byfield Road in Parkerville on Monday afternoon and confronted a woman, punching her several times then pushing her to the ground and kicking her.

Another woman tried to intervene, but the man struck her to the head with a rock, then chased and threatened a boy until the trio ran into the house.

Police found the man driving away in one of the woman's vehicles and he was treated in hospital for a head injury, while the women also required stitches for multiple cuts.

The 37-year-old man from Parkerville has been charged with two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, stealing a motor vehicle, trespassing and threats to injure or endanger.
