The boy, aged under five, was discovered in a swimming pool in Noranda on Tuesday morning and rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition, an ambulance spokeswoman said.

The second incident occurred in the Wheat Belt town of Northam on Tuesday afternoon, where a young girl, believed to be aged 18 months, was pulled from a swimming pool.
