WA toddler dies after choking on bubblegum

A toddler has died in a Western Australian shopping centre after choking on a piece of bubblegum.
The two-year-old was with his mother at Kmart in a Joondalup mall on Monday when he began to choke.
When paramedics arrived the boy was already unconscious and could not be resuscitated.

He was then rushed to Joondalup Health Campus but doctors were unable to save his life.
Police were called to the hospital but later declared that the death was not suspicious.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
