AAP
A three-metre saltwater crocodile has been shot dead at a beach in Western Australia's Kimberley region.
The animal was spotted about 1km south of Cable Beach Surf Club on Monday and was shot after it couldn't be trapped, the Department of Parks and Wildlife said.
Another 3.5-metre crocodile was also spotted in the area but disappeared, and Cable Beach reopened on Tuesday afternoon.
