Thieves ransack Perth animal shelter

Thieves have stolen donation tins from an animal shelter in Perth's southern suburbs and opened cages to let cats and kittens out.
Police said the incident occurred overnight on Tuesday with the thieves rifling through the office, stealing cash and freeing the felines.
A police spokeswoman said the animals have all been accounted for and were not injured.
