WA BUDGET AT A GLANCE:
* Deficit for current financial year: $2.03 billion (mid-year estimate was $2.7 billion)
* Deficit 2016-17: $3.9 billion (mid-year estimate $2.9 billion)
* Net debt 2015-16: $27.8 billion (mid-year estimate $29.5 billion)
* Net debt 2016-17: $33.8 billion (mid-year estimate $34.6 billion)
* Net debt forward estimate 2019-20: $40.19 billion (mid-year estimate $39.04 billion in 2018-19)
* Major spending 2016-17: A record $8.6 billion on health, up five per cent
* Households costs: up $257 including $99 for motor vehicle injury scheme
* Treasurer says: "This government has met the demand created by this population boom. It has not been easy - we have had to spend a lot of money and quite frankly we have had to borrow a lot of money."
