Driver charged over teen's death in crash

A Perth woman has been charged with dangerous driving causing the death of a 15-year-old girl who was a passenger in her car when it crashed.

Police said the 47-year-old woman was driving along Marmion Avenue in Merriwa at 10pm on Saturday when she lost control and rolled the car.

The teenager was thrown from the car and died in hospital, while a 20-year-old woman suffered a fractured arm.

Four other children also suffered minor injuries.

The woman has been charged with dangerous driving causing death, dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm, and two counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
