A teenager is accused of hurling a chunk of concrete at a hamburger shop owner in Perth, knocking him out and leaving him with serious facial injuries.

The man had asked a group of boys to move from a table outside Hamburger Hill in Scarborough so customers could sit there on Sunday afternoon.

The boys allegedly became aggressive so he went back inside the shop and called security who tried to move the group on.

During the incident, the shop owner was knocked unconscious by a large piece of concrete allegedly thrown by a 16-year-old Girrawheen boy.

The teen has been charged with grievous bodily harm and possessing cannabis and will appear in the Perth Children's Court on Wednesday.
