Taylor forced to trade Bateman for Bicton

Liberal MP Matt Taylor has nominated for the new WA state seat of Bicton after losing pre-selection for the safer electorate of Bateman in a bitter tussle with Transport Minister Dean Nalder.

Mr Taylor's office confirmed the parliamentary secretary had nominated for Bicton after losing convincingly to Mr Nalder, whose current seat of Alfred Cove will be dissolved at the March 2017 election.

Bicton is tipped to have a more narrow margin than the seat of Bateman, which Mr Taylor has held since 2013.
