Student held against his will on WA bus

A man believed to have been armed with garden shears has allegedly held a student against his will on a Perth bus.

Police were called to a bus near the intersection of Throssell Street and Thelma Street in Como just before 8am on Thursday and took the man to hospital for assessment.

The student was not injured.
