Student bashed inside Perth home after making noise complaint

An international student has been bashed inside his home after making a complaint about his noisy neighbours.

The 28-year-old suffered serious head and eye injuries, and says is too scared to stay at his Mandurah home now.

Prabhgeet Sandhu says he was attacked at about 8:30pm last night after he went downstairs to speak to a neighbour about some noise.

Mr Sandhu said he returned to his unit before a man burst through the front door and attacked him while he was sitting in the living room, receiving several punches to the face before locking himself inside his bedroom.

A man in his 20s has been taken into custody by police and is being questioned by detectives.

No charges have been laid.
