Stabbing link to Perth house fire

A stabbing and a separate house fire that occurred in two different northern Perth suburbs are linked, West Australian police say.

Police were called about 8.15pm on Wednesday to West Coast Drive in Watermans Bay, where a 33-year-old man was found to have multiple wounds.

He was taken to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment.

About 9.50pm, police were called to a fire in Flamborough Street in Doubleview, where someone was trying to burn down a house.

The two occupants were able to flee the house before the fire took hold.

Arson squad detectives are investigating both incidents.
