Coastal parts of Carnarvon and Shark Bay Shires, and the inland part of Ashburton Shire have been given a severe danger rating.
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services is urging residents in affected areas to have bushfire plans ready.
It says if a fire starts it will be unpredictable, fast moving and difficult to control.
