A second volunteer firefighter from the Bedfordale Brigade has been charged with lighting a bushfire in Western Australia.

Police allege the 20-year-old man lit a bushfire on Admiral Road in Bedfordale, southeast of Perth, on August 29 and then helped put it out.

It is also alleged he made two false triple-zero calls in relation to bushfires in the Bedfordale area between August and September.

Police also charged an 18-year-old Bedfordale volunteer firefighter on Saturday with seven counts of creating a false belief and two arson offences.

It is alleged the man lit fires on Canning Dam Road in Bedfordale on December 21 and 24, and then helped put them out.

He also allegedly made seven false triple-zero calls about fires in the Bedfordale area and then responded to them.
