Search resumes for missing WA kayaker
AAP
The search has resumed for a man who went missing after being swept off his kayak in Western Australia's Mid West region.
Police say the man and a friend were kayaking in the Murchison River, Ajana, and both capsized after reaching an area called the weir just before 5.30pm on Sunday.
The man disappeared as his friend managed to swim to safety, and a police search of the area after the accident failed to find him.

His kayak was found nearby on Monday morning.
Police divers are due to arrive early on Tuesday and local police will continue searching on foot along the river in the meantime.
