Search for gunman who held up Perth cafe

Police are searching for a gunman who held up a Darlington cafe early this morning.

The man entered Perrellas Cafe at about 6:30am. It’s understood he threatened the female owner with a gun before fleeing with a sum of cash.

Uniformed officers, detectives and specialist forensic units spent much of this morning at the Darlington cafe investigating.

Some items have been taken from the cafe as evidence. Police have also scoured nearby areas, searching bins, the local oval and surrounding streets - looking for signs of where the offender may have fled to.

Police are yet to find the person responsible.
