Search for man in remote WA continues

A man is missing along the remote Canning Stock Route in Western Australia, separated from his travelling partner who was found disoriented and dehydrated.

Police on Saturday resumed their search for 32-year-old Anthony Collis who was reported missing on Thursday night along the Canning Stock Route near Well 22.

He was travelling to Darwin with a 39-year-old woman and the pair became separated late on Thursday afternoon.

Police were called by another group of travellers after the woman walked into the Georgia Bore Camp, about 8.2km north of Well 22, on Thursday night.

She was disorientated and dehydrated, but has since recovered and is currently assisting police.

The pair's car was was found on Friday afternoon about 1km north of Well 22, however Mr Collis was not with the vehicle, police said on Saturday.

He is described as fair-skinned, of medium build and with blond hair. Anyone who may have seen him is urged to contact police immediately.

Local police, trackers, the SES and a search plane are currently involved in the search.
