Scooter linked to body found in suitcase

A scooter with a wooden chopping board tied to it is the latest item linked to the death of a woman whose body was found in a suitcase in Perth's Swan River.

Despite the body being found on July 2, the woman is yet to be identified.

Police divers retrieved the Blade scooter and Maxwell & Williams timber chopping board from the same location as the tiles found last month, which matched the tiles found inside the suitcase.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen suspicious activity near the Fremantle Traffic Bridge between June 27 and July 1 to come forward.

The victim was between 30 and 50-years-old, 160cm tall, 59kg, had a red shade in her hair and was wearing a Kathmandu vest and Tokyo Disneyland t-shirt.

She had tattooed eyebrows and dental work, including a crown on her top front left tooth that made it lighter than the rest of her teeth.

Detective Senior Sergeant Tom Mills said people might not know her by name, but may have seen her around.

"If she does (look familiar), we urge you to come forward and tell us where you recognise her from, and the last time you saw her," he said.
