Qld man faces WA court over 2017 death

A man extradited to Perth from Queensland has appeared in court charged over the death of Dean Patrick White, whose body was found in a rural camp area in more than a year after he vanished.
Robert Troy Scanlon, 45, was arrested in Woodford on Friday and appeared in Perth Magistrates Court on Sunday charged with interfering with a corpse to hinder an inquiry. The case was adjourned until July 3.
Mr White, 55, was last known to be in the Quairading area on March 31 last year and his body was found in a camp area north of the Wheatbelt town in April.
