Man charged with murder after body found in south Perth unit

A 28-year-old man has been charged with murder after a body was found in a South Perth unit.
Officers from the Major Crime Squad and Homicide Squad arrived at the apartment complex on Parker Street around 12.30pm local time after they were called to the home.

Neighbours told 9NEWS they had heard screams from one of the apartments.
Overnight, detectives arrested a South Perth man and charged him with murder.
He was refused bail and is expected to appear in Perth Magistrates Court today.
Police have not yet revealed the age or gender of the deceased.
The building remains a crime scene.
