Police look for residents after WA fire

Police are searching for the occupants of a house badly damaged by a fire in West Perth.

A man is assisting arson squad detectives over the circumstances surrounding the fire, which broke out in the Cowle Street property shortly before 4pm on Sunday.

"Attending police are still endeavouring to account for all known residents of the property," police said.

It's not yet clear how many people live at the address.
