Police dog squad car T-boned at intersection in Perth

A police dog squad car has been T-boned by a vehicle at an intersection in Perth while responding to a burglary.

The police car was travelling through Armadale Road and Railway Avenue at 8:50am AWST this morning when it was hit in the side by another car.

The 55-year-old driver in the other vehicle was taken to Armadale hospital with suspected broken ribs.

The police dog, named Atticus, who was inside the canine unit vehicle was shaken but unharmed.

The dog’s handler was also uninjured.
