Perth toddler dies after being struck by vehicle

A toddler has been struck and killed by a vehicle at a home in Perth .
The 14-month-old girl died at the Caversham home about 4.45pm on Monday. A 58-year-old man, who is believed to be related to the child, is assisting police with their inquiries.
"It's just a tragic accident, we are coping as best we can, our family will come together this afternoon to consult one another and be together," the family told 9News in a statement.

The coronial investigations squad is investigating the tragedy with the assistance of the major crash squad.
