Perth siege accused still critical

A man accused of terrorising five hostages with a replica gun before being shot in the face by police after a two-hour siege in a Perth home remains in hospital in a serious condition.

Daniel Ashley, 26, was also shot in the upper body by Tactical Response Group officers when he emerged from the Mosman Park house on Wednesday last week, and has since had surgery for his wounds.

Ashley faces serious charges including deprivation of liberty, assault and going armed to cause fear, and remains in a critical but stable condition.
