Perth siege accused now stable

A man accused of terrorising five hostages with a replica gun in Perth before being shot in the face by police is in a stable condition but remains in intensive care.

Daniel Ashley, 26, was also shot in the upper body by Tactical Response Group officers when he emerged from the Mosman Park house after a two-hour siege last month.

Police are yet to interview Ashley, who faces serious charges including deprivation of liberty, assault and going armed to cause fear.
