Perth prison guard charged with fraud

A guard at a Perth prison has been charged with fraud, accused of forging medical certificates.

WA's Department of Justice said the Hakea Prison officer was on a return to work program at the time of the offence and will face court at a later date.

The charge came after a tip off in June to the Professional Standards Division, which is conducting further investigations.
