Perth party peacemaker bashed unconscious

A 28-year-old man has been bashed unconscious while attempting to break up a fight after a group of people tried to gatecrash a party at his home in northern Perth.

After the group was refused entry to the party in suburban Padbury early on Sunday, they started fighting partygoers in the street outside, police say.

The man trying to stop the fight fell to the road when assaulted and was taken to Royal Perth Hospital in a critical condition.
