Perth mayor shouldn't get cash: Premier

Western Australian Premier Mark McGowan says Lisa Scaffidi should give up her annual allowance after temporarily stepping down as Perth Lord Mayor over a gifts disclosure scandal.
Ms Scaffidi stood down from her duties on Thursday pending an appeal against her 18-month disqualification from holding office.
"Taking the money while you're suspended is, I think, inappropriate," Mr McGowan told reporters on Friday.
