Perth man stopped for allegedly driving lawnmower while drunk

A Perth man driving his lawnmower has been stopped by police after blowing a blood alcohol reading of 0.106 – two times the legal limit.

According to WA Today, the man had allegedly gone for a ride around the Perth suburb of Beechboro on Monday afternoon when he was spotted by traffic police.

The 44-year-old from Eden Hill had allegedly been drinking and was disqualified from driving.

Police say the man is due to appear in court in a week to face several charges, including having no authority to drive and driving with a blood alcohol level in excess of 0.08.

He will also face charges of driving a vehicle not capable of being registered.
