Perth lawyer to fight 'threat' charge

High profile Perth lawyer Terry Dobson will fight an allegation he made a threat during an incident last month.

Mr Dobson and his son Ted, who is also a lawyer, are charged with disorderly behaviour in public in Claremont on March 14.

Mr Dobson is further charged with threats to injure, endanger or harm a person.

The matter was listed for Perth Magistrates Court on Tuesday but neither of the accused appeared, instead leaving lawyer Gary Massey to represent them.

The pair will face a trial allocation hearing on June 30.

Mr Dobson spent almost two decades with the WA Police Force where he was a detective sergeant before becoming a barrister.
