Perth bikies charged over bashings

A good Samaritan who tried to end a vicious attack by bikie gang members on a man at a martial arts event in Perth was also set upon.

Police said a 38-year-old man was trying to leave a Muay Thai fight at a sporting complex in Madeley on November 15 when he was set upon by a gang of Comanchero club members.

He was allegedly punched and kicked to the ground, and further beaten as he lay on the floor.

A bystander tried to intervene, placing himself between the victim and the bikies, but was assaulted.

Both men suffered significant head injuries requiring medical treatment.

On Wednesday, police searched several suburban properties and charged seven suspects ranging in age from 20 to 39 with acts or omissions causing bodily harm or danger.

All were remanded in custody and will appear in the Joondalup Magistrates Court on Thursday.

Police said the suspects included the club's state commander.
