Passengers push train to free trapped commuter

A group of Western Australian commuters have managed to push a train carriage to free a man whose leg became trapped between the platform and the train.
The passenger fell into the gap as he boarded a Perth bound train at Stirling Station around 8.50am (WST) this morning, a Transperth spokesman sad.
Commuters were initially advised to move to the opposite side of the carriage to shift their weight in an attempt to free the hapless man.
Passengers were then told to exit the train and push up against the carriage, a commuter only identified as Nic said.
"We were able to move the train quite a bit," he told the West Australian.
"The train moved 5-10cm on its suspension, which was enough to free his leg."
Paramedics treated the man at the scene but he did not need to be taken to hospital.
Train services on the Clarkson line were delayed for around 15 minutes due to the incident, Nic said.
