Paediatrician charged with allegedly sexually assaulting underage patient

A Perth paediatrician has been charged after allegedly assaulting an underage patient at his place of work and possessing child abuse material.
The 41-year-old, who specialises in child behavioural issues, operates in Midland and Nedlands and was charged last month after allegations of sexual abuse.

Following a Child Abuse Squad investigation, the Wembley man was charged with persistent sexual conduct with a child under 16 and possession of child exploitation material.
Authorities also seized multiple electronic devices and data belonging to him, which will undergo forensic analysis and further investigation.
He faced court on May 30 and was remanded in custody before his next scheduled appearance next week.
Investigators are now urging anyone affected or with information to come forward.
