Murder accused doctor remains in custody

A Geraldton doctor charged with murdering her husband has been remanded in custody by a Perth court.
Chamari Rasika Denuwanthe Gunathilaka Liyanage appeared in the Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court on Wednesday via video link from Geraldton Regional Prison.
The 34-year-old was not required to enter a plea.

Police allege Liyanage murdered her husband, Dinedra Athukorala, who was also a doctor, in a domestic dispute in June.
Liyanage is scheduled to appear in the Magistrates Court on August 27.
