More problems for new children's hospital

Hundreds of facade panels adorning Perth's new children's hospital need to be replaced, adding to the list of construction problems that have plagued the incomplete project.

The 1500 green decorative panels were damaged in transit to Australia but their replacement would not affect the completion date for the project, hospital spokesman Professor Frank Daly told 6PR radio on Tuesday.

But the WA opposition health spokesman Roger Cook said the most recent bungle highlighted the state government's inability to oversee the adequate completion of big health projects.
