More debris likely to be from MH370

A wing part found in Tanzania is highly likely to be from missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, authorities say.

Transport Minister Darren Chester said Australian experts would continue to analyse the piece of debris, which is the sixth fragment that has been confirmed as either being definitely from or "almost certainly" from the Boeing 777.

He said he remains hopeful the aircraft would be found in the less than 10,000 square kilometres left to comb in the 120,000sq km search area in the southern Indian Ocean.

Mr Chester and his Chinese and Malaysian counterparts announced last week that the search would be suspended unless credible new evidence emerged about the specific location of the aircraft.
