Meth use in WA eases after 2015 peak

High methamphetamine usage rates in Western Australia have eased after reaching an all-time high last year, police say.
Police Commissioner Karl O'Callaghan said sewerage tests in WA, which were conducted more regularly than national tests and had been expanded to remote communities, showed usage had returned to 2015 levels after peaking in September.
"That could be to do with police enforcement, that could be to do with a whole range of issues - I guess we don't really know why," Mr O'Callaghan told 6PR on Thursday.
