Man pleads not guilty to WA murder

A 63-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to the murder of Perth woman Joanna Irene Corcoran.

Police arrested Simon Craig Cornelius after they were called to a Scarborough home on August 13, where they found the 62-year-old woman dead.

Cornelius appeared in Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court via video link from Hakea Prison on Tuesday and pleaded not guilty to Ms Corcoran's murder.

He is scheduled to appear in court again on February 9.
