Man pleads guilty over Perth baby's death

A 47-year-old man has admitted killing his three-month-old grandson in Perth almost four years ago.
Wayne William Downing was initially charged last year with murdering Noah Jayde Downing by inflicting injuries on the baby at a Midland property on May 5, 2016.
But in Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court on Wednesday, Downing pleaded guilty to the downgraded offence of manslaughter.

Downing was remanded in custody and will face the West Australian Supreme Court for a sentencing hearing on July 28.
