Man not guilty over WA pizza bar death
AAP
A man who argued he acted in self-defence when he fatally punched a former work colleague in the head during an argument outside a Perth pizza shop has been found not guilty.
Matthew Sidney Weldon punched 60-year-old Charles Alfred Kraus in a Maylands car park in March last year, causing him to fall backwards onto the ground and suffer severe head injuries, dying in hospital three days later.
Weldon stood trial in the WA District Court charged with unlawful assault resulting in death, but was acquitted on Wednesday.
