Man dies in WA surfing accident

A man has died in an accident at a popular Margaret River surfing spot.

WA police haven't revealed how the 51-year-old NSW man died but there are unconfirmed reports he may have been struck by a board.

St John Ambulance and police were called to Surfer's Point in Prevelly this morning, but the man later died in hospital.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
