Man denies Boxing Day murder in Perth

A man accused of fatally assaulting a 68-year-old man during a fight at a Perth home on Boxing Day will stand trial charged with murder.
Jason John Burt, 40, allegedly attacked Hans Johannes Besselaar at a Duncraig house.
Police were called to respond to an altercation at the property about 10pm.

Mr Besselaar was taken to hospital but died a short time later.
Burt appeared in Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court via video link from Albany prison on Wednesday and will face court again next month.
The post-mortem report is yet to be finalised.
