Man charged over WA teenager assault

A 21-year-old man has been accused of sexually assaulting a teenage schoolgirl in Perth after grooming her online.
Police allege the man met up with the girl on Tuesday after grooming her through social media, and sexually assaulted her in a public place in Mount Lawley.
He was arrested by the WA police child abuse squad and detectives from Australian Federal Police two days later.

The Kiara man faced the Perth Magistrates Court for the first time on Friday.
Police are urging anyone who saw a girl in a school uniform in distress around a small jetty located off the Tony Di Scerni pathway in Mount Lawley between 12pm and 1pm on Tuesday to contact them.
