Man charged after WA police chase
A man has allegedly led police cars and a helicopter on a chase through Perth's southern suburbs in a stolen car.
Police spotted the car on Leach Highway in Bull Creek just after midnight on Sunday and began a pursuit involving several police vehicles and a chopper.
The driver allegedly evaded police through several suburbs before a stinger device, used to puncture tyres, stopped the car on Kwinana Freeway in Wandi.
A man and a woman ran from the car into nearby bushland where police dog Rumble was sent to catch them.
A 21-year-old man has been charged with stealing a motor vehicle, failing to stop, reckless driving and no authority to drive.
He has also been charged over a separate car stealing incident earlier this month.
